Every August 12, Harvest Dances and Corn Dances are performed in honor of St. Clare, patron saint of Santa Clara Pueblo.
I started taking part in our Feast Day Corn Dance nearly 40 years ago, and my primary artistic inspiration comes from these very special ceremonial dances. Pueblo Feast Days are very special as a time for reunion and for spiritual revival—and of course, fantastic Pueblo cuisine! The dances are open to the public and I will continue to take part as long as I can!
