ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Just in time for the holidays, 140 artists are coming together in a festive environment selling everything from jewelry to paintings and even sculptors. Guests are bound to find something for everyone on their Christmas list.
The Santa Fe Indian Winter Market is a non-profit organization that produces the Santa Fe Indian Market every August, as well as the Winter Indian Market. This year, there is a new location. The market will be now held at the historic La Fonda on the Plaza.
Chief Operating Officer, Dallin Maybee, and Artists Upton Ethelbah Jr and Allen Aragon joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss the market. WATCH VIDEO HERE
Guests will be able to enjoy live entertainment, a silent auction, raffle and Native Santa Claus will also be making an appearance. Unique ornaments will be auctioned off as well as 2D art and jewelry, Santa Fe dining gift certificates and so much more. A $10,000 Eddy Shorty sculpture will be raffled off along with other prizes.
The Santa Fe Winter Indian Market opens Friday, December 16 and will run through Sunday, December 18. Monday, December 12 is the final day to purchase tickets for opening day. Tickets are $50.
